It's our blue wall. We were going to wait until the kiddos came to fill it up with family pictures. I don't know if I can wait much longer.

Harrison bean soup! The little chef just turned 5! He cut up the veggies and seasoned it. So delish!

Monks from the Sera Monastery are on a tour to promote art and peace. We weren't able to go to the mandala viewing yesterday, but we were there for the closing ceremony. It was incredibly peaceful. I'm so happy we were there.

My favorite evening treat is organic vanilla yogurt with a local honey swirl. The honey hardens a smidge. Love the different textures. Got the idea from my trip to Quebec where they put maple syrup in their yogurt.

I have to be honest my hubster took this shot. I just had to post it though because it captures the day perfectly. We did more celebrating. He got me my favorite cake, red velvet, from my favorite bakery. Every cake he gets me always has an apple on it now.

Last night, we went to celebrate one of my biggest dreams coming true. I wouldn't have made it there without my hubster's unflinching love, support and dedication. He was strong for me when I couldn't find the strength within myself. I can't believe that I often forget that being married to him is my greatest dream come true.

Thursday night was Academic Showcase. It's when we put on our best face at school and show what we got. There's always a huge art display in the auditorium. My kiddos chose to put their heart maps up.They totally have my heart. I can't believe the school year is winding down so quickly!

The two newest editions to our kitchen family. By the way, we place a mug in our coffee machine each evening, so it's ready for the morning. What a lovely way to get our day started.

ZOMG! Half a Cowboy Cookie sandwich. The girl hooked it up today. Two huge scoops: mint chocolate chip and vanilla bean. They're smooshed between a mint chocolate chip cookie. Yum!

Another Borders in our town is closing. Sad news. However, our little local bookstores are thriving. I heard about this book and was so grateful that I found it in the Borders leftovers. I also got it 70% off! Woot! Power of patience. Here's the blurb on the back:
Ella Minnow Pea is a girl living happily on the fictional island of Nollop off the coast of South Carolina. Nollop was named after Nevin Nollop, author of the immortal pangram,* “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.” Now Ella finds herself acting to save her friends, family, and fellow citizens from the encroaching totalitarianism of the island’s Council, which has banned the use of certain letters of the alphabet as they fall from a memorial statue of Nevin Nollop. As the letters progressively drop from the statue they also disappear from the novel. The result is both a hilarious and moving story of one girl’s fight for freedom of expression, as well as a linguistic tour de force sure to delight word lovers everywhere.

This post was inspired by Lisa's photo. This nifty stress ball lives in our fun game bowl on our coffee table.

We caved and bought a Keurig. The only reason why we did it is because we could buy it from Costco. If you know Costco's amazing return policy, you know it's a no-risk purchase. As we're standing in line, the checkout helper says, "Oh my gosh, this is going to change your life!" I quickly ask, "For the worse or for the better?" "We'll just say it'll change your life!"

If you can't tell yet, we're obsessed with kale chips. We eat it with everything. Recently, we stumbled across hot Italian turkey sausage at our favorite market. After we made that discovery, I found this recipe. Mmmmm...yum!

We had a totally fun-filled friend weekend. Today, we went to our friends' house for dinner. They have the three cutest kids ever. They're so awesome, which we've learned is a big reason their kids are so amazing.
